Situation

Refurbishment of an existing Auditorium at a notable Victorian University. The Architect sought to incorporate a mix of different acoustic linings to achieve both the required aesthetic appearance and acoustic excellence, necessary to attain speech intelligibility in such a demanding environment.

Solution

Atkar worked in close collaboration with the Architect and Acoustic Consultant to achieve the best design layout and configuration, rising to the challenge outlined in the detailed acoustic brief.

In an environment where speech clarity is imperative, acoustic perfection was delivered in the combination of three different product types. This created a unique contrasting balance that not only obtained acoustic stability, but is also visually appealing. The concealed fixing of the panels resulted in a smooth flowing blend.

Atkar’s in-house designer’s provided detailed shop drawings; streamlining the installation and ensuring the builder and the client met the tight project timeline. The panels were delivered on time to Atkar’s hallmark of high level quality and functionality, accomplishing full client satisfaction with the final result delivered by Atkar; the epitome of acoustic perfection…Beyond Expectations!
