Situation

New regional cancer treatment centre where decorative linings were vital to reduce reverberation and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients.

Solution

Atkar worked closely with Billard Leece to create bespoke panels that were not only acoustically excellent but graphically stunning.  Eye catching American Oak veneered wall panels with a daffodils graphic and striking back-lit ceiling panels were used to great effect by Billard Leece.  The panels were manufactured from Atkar’s FR fire resistant substrate to meet the stringent fire regulations pertaining to a health precinct.  Atkar’s sleek Au.diGroove finished in Inluxe Image Hoop Pine was also installed to the atrium walls and bulkheads providing a seamless, contemporary feel to this large open space.
