ArchiTECH event - Designing with Acoustics

The Australian Institute of Architect’s ArchiTECH events provide a forum for architects to attend technical presentations on materials, products and specifications.
This ArchiTECH will be run by us, on ‘Designing with acoustics’.

“How do I get the design I want and still have the appropriate acoustic control to suit the room?”

We are often asked this question and know firsthand that effective acoustic control can be more than basic ceiling tiles or a fabric panel on the wall. This presentation will provide an overview of acoustics and help you identify what design aspects can affect acoustic performance, including fire rating requirements, and what acoustic considerations you need to consider in different spaces.

*This seminar provides one formal CPD point per hour on completion of set assessment. (1 formal point is available.)

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) talks and events are a core component of the Victorian Chapter’s CPD program. The series aims to present topics that are inspiring and tangible, providing knowledge that attendees can put into practice. Speakers include Victorian-based architects, visiting international architects and specialist consultants from other built-environment disciplines.

When:  Wednesday 5th September, 12-1.30pm
Where:  Australian Institute of Architects, Level 2, 41 Exhibition Street, Melbourne
