2019 Victorian Architecture Awards

Shortlisted Projects 2019

Once again Atkar Group are proud to have a large selection of our products showcased in a number of projects shortlisted for The Australian Institute of Architects 2019 Victorian Architecture Awards. From 248 entries, 14 juries have shortlisted 89 projects across 14 categories.

The Institute noted the increased number of public projects on the shortlist. Amy Muir, Victorian Chapter president of the Australian Institute of Architects said:

“The design outcomes achieved via the shortlisted public architecture projects define the important role that the public realm plays in providing exemplar-built outcomes that support our growing communities and provide a legacy for future generations. With population density rising across our cities, public space becomes an incredibly valuable commodity – not only from an economic perspective, but more importantly for the well-being of our communities.”

The 2019 Victorian Architecture Awards will be announced on 28th June. Winners will then progress to the National Architecture Awards to be announced later in the year.
